Rental Policy

To ensure a safe, transparent, and hassle-free rental experience, OJ&T’s Car Rentals maintains the following policies:

Liability Damage Waiver (LDW)

• $5 USD daily charge for 3rd Party Liability Coverage.

• Coverage carries a deductible of $500 USD.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

• Daily charges: $10, $15, or $20 USD, depending on the vehicle.

• Coverage carries a deductible of $1,000–$1,500 USD.

Deposit

• A fully refundable deposit of $500–$1,000 (based on vehicle type) is required.

• This amount is held on the renter’s credit card as a “deposit hold” and will not be processed unless needed to cover deductibles or damages.

Age Requirement

• Drivers must be at least 25 years old or have held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years without accidents.

Local License Requirements

• Antigua & Barbuda law requires all drivers to hold a valid local driver’s license or a temporary permit.

• Temporary permits can be purchased at OJ&T’s Car Rentals for $20 USD and are valid for 3 months.

Accidents

• All accidents must be reported to the police immediately.

Insurance

• Insurance is optional. Some credit card companies provide Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).

• If insurance is declined and an accident occurs, the renter’s credit card will be charged for all repairs and vehicle downtime.
